From May's garden

On Thursday morning, while waiting to go to the airport, I decided to walk around May's garden and take pictures of the flowers and plants. As I walked and explored, I saw a little pathway. Walked along the path through some trees and lo and behold, there was a freaking pond there! Not just any freaking pond, a freaking lilypad pond!

The rest of the pictures I took. Finally learnt to use the focus function with my portrait lens!

Didn't relax in the garden at all...was stuck in the living room hooked on to the internet the entire time :P

Your flowers are as lovely as your fruits but is it me, the flower in each picture looks a little lonely...see how much your picture conveys..

LOL! That's cos I only know how to work with one focus point...waitlah, when I learn to work with more focus points, can take multiple objects in one shot okay? haha.

Lilian, pls don't take my comments on photography too seriously hor cos I really have no professional views, I am a layman of many things...just sharing a feeling nia. :) I scared my frivolous comments cause trouble. *cold sweat*

Nolah, I appreciate all feedback, I'm a newbie at photography too. There are a couple of mummies here who are very good, Sandy and Cindy, even their names are similar! Thanks for your comment, and no worries about me taking things too seriously, am not at all like that :)

I'm a novice, the one you should learn from is Sandy, she takes gorgeous pictures.

The pictures are so bee-you-ti-ful! Wow, is photography a hobby of yours?
I just have to ask, what camera do you use huh? I am really bad at taking pictures, so every time I see great pics I ask about the camera. Hopefully one day I will find the one that will magically make my pics look better!

Thanks Clarabella, I'm using the entry level DSLR Canon EOS 1000...but I bought a portrait lens which gives the blurred background effect. Hardly use the lens that came with the camera.
