Rollerblade® Rollerblades

New rollerblades for the boys by Rollerblade®. Yes, there's actually a brand called Rollerblade®, didn't know that, did you? And this exact model is the one I bought for both of them; on sale mah...looks fierce huh :)

Bought protective gear including helmets too. Pocket very holey and burnt now.

So we're (and by we I mean the boys, of course I'm not rollerblading, siao ah!) all set for spring/summer skating! Watch out!!

Cool! That's the most well sought brand when blading just started years back! Didn't get one for yourself? I need to get a new pair for dd too. ds can "take over" jie jie's pair. Luckily it's red, if not he will complain like mad. :P

Wah Sandy, you're into rollerblading yourself? I can't do it lah, not at my age. So don't think I'll waste money on a pair, it's just too scary to let go and roll.

It's one of my dreams too...I always imagine the feeling of freedom while rollerblading swiftly must be quite something.

Lilian, according to my husband, those skates are called In-Line skates, Rollerblade is actually a brand name, a registered trademark own by nordica. I guess they market their brand so well that everyone refers to In-Line skates as rollerblade.

The skates you've got looks really cool! My husband said they are very expensive! LOL

Thanks Chris and your husband for the education :) I guessed as much that Rollerblade was marketed so well it was used interchangeably with in-line skates, like Colgate for toothpaste, Fab for detergent, Pampers for diapers :)

They were on sale so was cheaper than I had expected; I saw another brand Roces earlier and that was really expensive.

You know, every time I look at a pair of roller/inline blades, I keep thinking of landing on my elbow. True there are elbow guards, but its this mental image that scares the heck out of me.

But they're way cool man! Bet the boys don't even feel the cold weather cos they want to roller blade everyday!

The boys are homebodies, so I usually have to ask if they wanna go out cos they won't remember to ask. I'll definitely be prodding them lots cos gotta make sure the blades are well-used!

When I did try roller-blading years ago, I didn't land on my elbows, it was always the bum or my palms; SAKIT!
