Oh my goodness gracious me! Thanks for that shameless plugging. I get a whole blog entry to myself! I love you, woman (in a non gay way, but if you are into such things, I can consider!)!! Overall, I am happy with the book cos it was bloody hard work. On the other hand, although the book is gorgeously produced, there are some glaring mistakes that I'm not too happy about. Oh well...
LOL! Love you too and while I'm straight as an arrow, if there's any two people in the world that could possibly turn me to the er, "dark side? haha", it'll have to be boobalicious you and lipalicious Jolie; count yourself in good company. Aiyah, cannot be so anal lah, I'm sure all books have mistakes readers never ever notice. You have a BOOK! How many people can say that?!Next time I see you, please share how you did all this while travelling all over Europe, hosting gorgeous parties... and keeping Vig happy of course!
Well, we should see each other soon in that case, cos i love an opportunity to blow my own trumpet! hahahaha! No la, seriously, would love to host you and family in Frankfurt before we head back to Singapore. Can't believe you haven't tasted my cooking, especially since you are always one of the first to comment on any of the food photos I put up. So any time you feel like a short european break, come!
When are you guys headed back to Singapore? Seelah, your author profile says you live in Kuala Lumpur, mana ada? Bedek one. Yalah, wanna taste your cooking one day, be it here in Moscow, in Frankfurt or back in Singapore.
Wah... congrats!! That's every writer's dream. I think you need a large dose of patience and persistance to complete a book - blogging is so much easier!!
Monica, you have enough quality material from your blogposts to write a book, that's for sure. I'm pretty sure you'll join Bao in the ranks of published authors in the near future.
Thanks for the vote of confidence! Somehow don't think it's so easy leh... anyone knows any publishers?? *looks hopeful*
Bao will know, maybe Cindy too. Btw, their husbands are colleagues. Next time we can all meet up in Singapore. Bao's good fun, always lots of laughter when she's around.
Thanks Monica! If you wanna know some publishers, I suggest you come for the Frankfurt Bookfair. That's where we met ours. It started out as a friendly chat with some cute Englishman and next thing you know, he said he was looking for writers to do a book on Singapore and Malaysia. A more experienced writer friend of mine jumped on the opportunity and pulled me along for the ride. There are tons of bloggers that have turned into published authors. You definitely should look into that! Anyway, would love to meet up with you when Lillian and I are next in Singapore!
Thanks Bao! I think it's just a pipedream for now. I've actually had a career guide book for kids published but that was via MDIS and was more for local school market so very small distribution. Not the kind of publishing I'm dreaming of though...Meanwhile, I'll just keep penning my thots and keep dreaming :D And yes, would LOVE to meet up with you when you're back in SG!
Congrats Bao! Yeah... now that we are back in this corner of the world, your book is gonna be really handy! :) Lilian, Yes, the Frankfurt Bookfair is the place. That's what I was talking about with Brian's dino tale. Really can give it a shot!Mon, You can really do it! Remember the mom who so moved America with her ebay post and she then started a blog "Because I said so" and she landed herself in a book contract? Your Top 10 Lists are such a gem. There should be a parenting book of top 10 and I can't imagine another person writing it other than you!
Aww... Cindy, your vote of confidence is so sweet! I'm so touched. I haven't heard about that blogger who ended up with the blog contract. Maybe it's cos I don't know the process and am too lazy to look into it... so I'll just keep writing and hope to be discovered :D
There's another blogger who focuses on Happiness, she's got a book deal too.
