Drunken chicken Bao style

I learnt to make this drunken chicken dish from my friend Bao aka Frankfurt's Martha Stewart. She gave me the recipe some months ago but I had totally forgotten about it or would have attempted this for reunion dinner. Then I saw her Facebook photos and she cooked this again recently. So this was what I cooked for dinner tonight. Looks pretty professional eh?

I agree it looks so professional. Unfortunately, the boys didn't quite like it and Eddie didn't rave either. Maybe I used the wrong wine, recipe called for Shao Xing and I only had Hua Tiow. Doesn't matter, it looked darn good, and I loved it, that's all that matters :)

Wow... for a moment I thought Bao dropped by!
Very professional... I'm sure she'll agree too...
Can be the Martha Stewart in Moscow! ;)

BTW, GONGXI FACAI!

Yes yes, GongXiFaCai to you too. Been so quiet here without you.

Actually Bao did say she wants to visit Moscow in June, but no updates from her.

Hi there! I'm super impressed! Honoured that you tried out one of my recipes. I also made it for CNY dinner in Frankfurt. What can I say? Great minds think alike?

I'm still serious about visiting. Vig and I are planning our holidays this week so we'll let you know soon. Right now, I'm exploring flying in to Helsinki and taking ferry/train to st petersburg and train down to Moscow. But it might be too time consuming. Any suggestions?

So Bao, does using Hua Tiow Chiew instead of Shao Xing make any difference you think? I may have used too much wine :) *hic

Your trip plan sounds doable. Train from St Pete's to Moscow can be done as an overnighter. And Finland looks really close to Russia. Er, that's all I can tembak, sorry, not very travel-savvy lah.
