Moscow's Mamak stall?

No mamak stalls in Moscow, so gotta make do with Mama stall at home. Made this for breakfast this morning. What better way to start Sunday morning than to be reminded of home. So out came the curry chicken, beef rendang, prata (Chinatown brand's the best) and a cup of coffee. Almost perfect. Perfect would require a cup of teh tarik.

I agreed that prata in Chinatown is the best! ;p

haha, I've never had prata in Chinatown...I meant the Chinatown brand of frozen prata :) You find these in NTUC/Cold Storage, great for us who live overseas.

Hi Lilian, Your food looks divine!! I'll look up the rendang recipe in your other blog. Very inspiring as always!

looks yummmy. better than the "real" thing. ;)

Thank you ladies :)

Adeline: If you're making rendang, try to get the right cut of beef; it should have lots of veins/tendons and be a bit fatty. Can try buying the beef from Tekka Market on Racecourse Road, just tell them it's for rendang. And remember, simmer slowly, for hours, till almost dry...patience pays off.

Wow... what yummy Sunday breakfast!

Hey PP, where've you been? You didn't turn up at my place to do the cleaning. When I woke up, the rendang was still in the microwave, so I made sure we ate it on Sunday lor...:)

bACk in GERMANY said...

Oh no more rendang... so no need to come and clean house now?
Aiyah... out busy playing the whole weekend... so tired this morning until we couldn't wake up!

Lilian said...

Sounds like fun! Bet you took lots of pictures, yayyyy!!!

Aiyoh... I was so frustrated with the kids... only one decent photo the whole weekend!
Next time, I won't ask them to look at the camera. It's like telling them, "Hey, come touch the lens!"

LOL! You're right, no point asking them to pose, the posed photos hardly ever look nice.

I know that when I was young (early teens), I HATED it when my mum ordered me to pose for pictures. My face was like thunder in so many old pictures! Guess it's true what they say about Karma.

bACk in GERMANY said...

Yep... gotta start educating them on this karma thingy...

I re-read my comment and it came out wrong; I meant my kids' posed pictures don't turn out nice, not yours! Your kids are model-material, their posed pictures are gorgeous.

Oh... LOL!
No lah... I meant the karma of touching my lens! And the whole karma business... i.e. they don't behave as good children, they won't get well-behaved children next time! ;)

BTW, your kids' face are not thunder what... They are all smiling nicely for you! :) I wanna see your thunder face!

Haha, the thunder-face pictures won't upload lah. As for mine, not for public consumption, 80s hairstyle and 80s fashion (think frilly culottes with matching frilly top)!
