Bunnies in the Bin

Bunny sweets, that is. Eddie came back from Singapore last week with 4 packs of rabbit sweets, which he has loved since forever. When we found out the sweets had been pulled from shelves in Singapore, he hid them in the cabinet, away from the clutches of the other bunny-sweet addict in the house, Sean. He finally binned the sweets this morning but is still keeping his huge packs of M&Ms (made in China) in the fridge. I'm just thankful oreo cookies aren't affected.

Actually, Oreos ARE affected but apparently, the melamine levels in these items are very low, ie even you eat everyday for the rest of your life also unlikely to cause problems. Only the levels in China milk powder were at dangerous levels.

I thought only Oreo wafers, not the cookies, are affected. Yalah, Eddie uses the same argument to continue eating his M&Ms. I'm surprised he even threw away the sweets.

These bunny sweets must be the most famous China export ever. We've been eating these since we were kids right?

I think our bodies are so full of toxins we've accumulated eating China products that our systems are now immune to them! Like Ma Ling luncheon meat, po chai pills, etc etc...

aiyoh. i'd bin it all. right now!!

Everyone at home loves luncheon meat; the 2 cans we have now are from MILI...must be a new brand.

I think Eddie just likes living dangerously.

My mom called me from Sg the other day just to tell me to dump the rabbit sweets (that's why Bryan calls them), if I still had any, that is. Anyway... trying to clear out before the movers come... sniff, they will have to come to pack us up eventually.

Bryan will be devastated if we also have to discard Oreos....

I feel Bryan's pain re Oreos. Being the selfless mom that I am, I finished the last 3 tubes of oreo cookies that Eddie had brought back ALL by myself hehe, curi-curi makan, didn't let the boys see.
