Ice-skating 101

Sean had his first ice-skating lesson this past Friday. It went way better than his swimming lessons. He fell lots but picked himself up, walked with his skates till he was too tired...some of the other kids are already gliding, but I'm just glad he even went into the rink.

Tips from the coach before being allowed into the rink.

Easy does it...

...and I'm skating!...sort of...

How cute! They look like little hockey players.

Wow... so fun.
When we were at the skating rink in Bryant Park in NYC over Christmas and New Year, Bryan wanted to jump right in.
Unfortunately for him, his parents can't skate for nuts! Uncle Justin promised to take him along, but the queue went round the park twice!

Good to have you back blogging! Miss ya! Happy CNY!

Bryan's a lot braver than Sean then!

It's been unusually warm this time of year, and when I say warm, I mean 1 deg celsius...so Brian has yet to christen his skates cos his first lesson on Tue was postponed to today, and today's was cancelled :( The rink must be melting or something, I dunno.

Where r u spending CNY? FRA? Gong Xi Fa Cai to you and your family too.

Bryan just doesn't know what danger is... Foolhardiness cannot be interpreted as bravery! :)

Yes, it's so warm! I think I see buds on the branches now. Snow is rare and bare this winter again...
Kristin will never get to see snowflakes falling from the sky. It was snowing a lot when we came in 2005, but she was only 5 months old.

We will be in Fra for CNY, while Alan is back in Sg for coy briefing.
We're hoping to stay away from crowds and avoid falling prey to the terrible stomach flu virus thingy - esp in weather conditions like now! Last year we had plain white porridge for our reunion dinner! Very very sad, right?

To good health, sister!
